I recently watched this movie. "Shadows". It was good to see so many things that ones grandparents speak about, such as standing up in church, there were no pews. I was dissapointed in the dances however. The few that they had were lacking in the artistry that the Carpaty dances are so known for. This appeared to be eastern Ukraine and we all know the dances from there are involved. The axe fighting was likewise poorly done but it was good to see that the multipurpose of the tool was displayed. It was cane, hachet, hammer and weapon. When I heard the word Sokyra it was worth it.
