I was born and raised in Sonoma County, CA but given very little training in the use of any tool or trade. Now 35 years old I have moved to Sullivan Maine as a homesteading and permaculture apprentice. It is much colder and more wooded than the golden rolling hills of California and I have been trained in the use of chainsaws but not the use of a hand axe. Your article was at the top of the list in my google search "skillful use of axe", and how happy I am to receive your knowledge.
